Position Summary:
-Provide technical product support, application assistance, and product training to sales staff. Coordinate pricing and product rationalization activities. Champion products through the Value Based Product Development {VBPD} and Value Based Management {VBM} process. Provide first level support and information required to design in of Flow Control Value Center products, as defined below. Facilitate communication between Operations, Engineering and Sales. Develop, communicate, and deploy Product Roadmaps.
-Provide application eng. assistance to both sales force and customers and propose solutions to technical problems.
-Provide customers and the sales force with product development and application support.
-Provide technical training on products to all personnel involved, including the sales force and employees.
-Provide assistance with technical communications.
-Develop/maintain a Product Roadmap, product strategy, and implementation plan for each major product.
-Provide pricing identification and support to field sales and key customers.
-Identify, communicate, and provide information on WW market trends and competitive activity.
-Recommend and document new product opportunities.
-Champion new products through the VBPD process, including opportunity prioritization.
-Conduct annual pricing and product rationalization activities.
-Continuous pricing improvement and product line portfolio management to meet market demands.
-Conduct and coordinate product launches, including the development of all Marcom materials.
-Travel to customers as reqd. to support prod. launches, custom prod. definition, & specific product growth activities.
-Maintain both Sarbanes Oxley and ISO compliance processes and guidelines.
-Assist field sales with general product applications.
-Develop or assist in developing strategies and tools to support selling efforts.
-Investigate, evaluate, promote and recommend new and modified products.
-Develop and maintain key business contacts within the industry.
-Help develop technology roadmaps for the company and assist in converting these roadmaps into new concepts and products.
-In-depth knowledge of positive displacement pumps technologies and capabilities.
-Exposure to manufacturing processes required to build pumps.
-Knowledge of OEM business and market channels in the industrial markets.
-Above average communication skills for both internal and external sales application contacts.
-Ability to perform complex work requiring a high degree of original thinking and independent judgment.
-Above average skills in Microsoft Office applications.
-Bachelor's degree in technical discipline (ME, EE, IE) required. MBA or equivalent is desired.
-5+ years of experience with knowledge of engineering principles and technical marketing for pumps.
-5+ years of experience in the Industrial market.
